Welcome to the June edition of Book Bits. This edition provides details on the upcoming Buckeye Book Fair. There will be a special behind the scenes view of the Buckeye Book Fair’s partnership with the College of Wooster in this issue. You’ll be able to see the inspiration behind the ink from Paula Johnson Neal, author, in her interview with Eva Bauman, the Buckeye Book Fair’s Marketing Lead. Additionally, I’ve explained a little more about the Buckeye Book Camp which is truly a remarkable opportunity for students in 3rd through 8th grades. Before we dive in, let me thank you all for supporting our Summer Book Escape Raffle. Your contributions helped us raise $640.00 toward the Buckeye Book Camp this summer.
If you haven’t already marked your calendar for the 2024 Buckeye Book Fair, please open your app or grab your planner and enter the date! We will be celebrating together at Greystone Event Center in Wooster, Ohio on Saturday, November 2nd from 9:30am-4:00pm. Pass the word that there are only a few more weeks for authors and illustrators to send us their new releases! Our Selection Committee has extended nearly half the invitations already, we don’t want authors and illustrators to miss out on the incredible opportunity to attend the Buckeye Book Fair with fellow book enthusiasts.
We’ve placed a link below for you to see the first round of Author’s and Illustrators attending the Buckeye Book Fair this year. Let’s let the secret out. Adults and families deserve book fairs as much as children. It’s going to be an amazing year with many suprizes around the corner. This edition is just the beginning of all we’ll be revealing for the 2024 Buckeye Book Fair. Please visit us online and on social media to share the news.
