“One of the most meaningful events for me personally is the Young Authors’ Conference held the day before the Book Fair. Students from around the area are brought in by bus to meet Ohio authors. In my three years participating in this event I’ve met hundreds of enthusiastic young people, some of whom hope to pursue a creative career, some who simply enjoy reading and want to learn more about how stories work. All of them leave with the sense that their stories matter, and that they have the tools to share them.
