📚 July Buckeye Bookmark

Welcome to The Buckeye Bookmark—Where Stories, Authors, and Readers Come Together.

As summer turns the page and we look ahead to fall, excitement is building for the 38th annual Buckeye Book Fair! In this edition of The Buckeye Bookmark, you’ll find a first glimpse at some of the incredible authors joining us this year, inspiring stories from our featured guests, and ways you can get involved in making this statewide celebration of books unforgettable.

We’re thrilled to spotlight Shannon Hale, the bestselling author and fierce advocate for young readers, who will headline our Young Authors Conference & Excellence Awards in October. You’ll also get a sneak peek at 20 authors from the 2025 Fair lineup (including legends and rising stars) and learn how to unlock local perks by becoming a Friend of the Fair with our brand-new All Access T-Shirt Pass.

Get to know fan-favorite creators Anne and Jerzy Drozd, discover the whimsical world of hidden pictures with longtime Fair friend Liz Ball, and find out how volunteering can connect you with your favorite authors while supporting literacy across Ohio.

So grab your coffee, pull up a cozy chair, and enjoy the stories waiting inside. We can’t wait to celebrate with you this fall—because at the Buckeye Book Fair, the best chapters are the ones we write together.

Thanks for reading—and for being part of Ohio’s thriving book-loving community.
