Buckeye Book Fair Receives Arts Midwest GIG Grant to Host Artist Residency in Ohio Rural Schools

Wooster, OH – The Buckeye Book Fair is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious GIG Grant from Arts Midwest. This funding will support an artist residency in rural Wayne, Ashland, and Holmes County schools, featuring celebrated artist, speaker, and educator Andy J. Pizza.

Volunteer Spotlight: Deb Jenkins

We’re excited to introduce Deb Jenkins, a new and incredibly dedicated volunteer with the Buckeye Book Fair. Deb’s connection with us actually began last year around this time when she introduced herself in our warehouse while working with D+S Distribution. For decades, D+S has been an essential partner to the fair, supporting our logistical needs by helping us receive, inventory, pack, and ship the 7,000 books we prepare each year. Without their fleet of trucks and consistent support, organizing the fair would be a much more challenging task.

Celebrating the Generosity of the Jim and Cindy Webster Charitable Fund

At the heart of the Buckeye Book Fair’s mission to promote literacy and foster a love of reading in young minds, we are profoundly grateful for the support of the Jim and Cindy Webster Charitable Fund. This generous fund, a component of the Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF), plays a pivotal role in helping us bring the joy of books to children across Ohio.
