This summer, an enthusiastic team of three interns worked diligently to help the Buckeye Book Fair expand and streamline several key initiatives. This dynamic effort is made possible through a fruitful partnership with The College of Wooster’s Applied Methods Research Experience (AMRE) program and The Buckeye Book Fair. Today we’ll shine a spotlight on Rayane Abounnaaim and the unique skills he brought to our organization.
Rayane is a junior at the College and comes to Wooster from Morocco. He is majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Statistical & Data Sciences. Outside of his studies, you can find him playing soccer or in the gym, traveling, and working on his startup business.
Rayane took the lead on the Buckeye Book Fair’s product management needs. His responsibilities encompassed a range of tasks related to logistics, inventory management, and book tracking. He has also worked closely with the other interns on technology and marketing goals.
Rayane’s career goal is to become a product manager at a tech company, and he believes that this internship has given him invaluable experience. He highlighted his role writing a script for volunteer training videos as key to honing his communication skills and creating an efficient project flow.
One Book Can Change Your Life Forever
Rayane’s interest in product management and entrepreneurship was inspired by reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. The book instilled in him the importance of financial literacy. Through Kiyosaki’s advice, Rayane has worked with a small team to develop and market an app aimed at helping students. This business startup is his passion project and it we’re looking forward to the launch.
Rayane’s journey at the Buckeye Book Fair has been a testament to his dedication and ambition. His hands-on experience in product management, coupled with his passion for technology and entrepreneurship, has equipped him with skills that will undoubtedly propel him toward his goal of becoming a product manager. From leading logistics and inventory management to crafting training videos for our volunteers that enhance team efficiency, Rayane has demonstrated a keen ability to manage complex projects and communicate effectively. As he continues to balance his academic pursuits, athletic interests, and entrepreneurial endeavors, it’s clear that his future in product management is bright. His story is a powerful reminder that one book truly can change your life forever, setting you on a path to achieving your dreams.
