As summer unfolds, we’re delighted to share a mosaic of stories, updates, and highlights that continue to make the Buckeye Book Fair a vibrant part of Ohio’s literary landscape.
In this issue, we’ll finish up our coverage of the College of Wooster summer partnership by introducing Rayane Anas Abounnaaim, a dedicated logistics intern. His planning and commitment are instrumental in orchestrating the seamless move that takes place this October when we recieve and move the Book Fair’s books from the warehouse to the event center, ensuring that every aspect of the festival runs like clockwork.
We’ll also share the heart of our operations. You’ll learn about a few of our 2024 authors and we’d like you to see the vital funding sources that make the outreach for Buckeye Book Fair possible. Discover how contributions from patrons like you fuel our mission to promote literacy and celebrate literature in Ohio. By becoming a Friend of the Fair, you join us in the fist-bump zone and play a pivotal role in sustaining and enriching our programs, leaving a lasting impact on the State of Ohio.
PLUS! The cover reveal for the 2024 Buckeye Book Fair is in this issue! This year’s design captures the thrill of creating meaningful moments with books and we know it will set the tone for an amazing contest this Fall. We’ll be hosting a contest to see just how many kids can build cozy reading forts!

On Tuesday, August 6th, the Buckeye Book Fair hosted a heartwarming Volunteer Appreciation Event, marking an important milestone in our journey toward a successful festival. With one-third of our staffing needs already filled, we are excited to acknowledge the dedication of our current volunteers and extend an invitation to others passionate about literature and community service.
